Dolores D. Burton, a lifelong resident of Gloversville, passed away on April 23rd at the Albany Medical Center. She was born on December 30, 1929. She was the daughter of Orville Eutemark and Margaret Katherine Fitzpatrick Eutemark; and predeceased by her husband, Richard C Burton; as well as her deceased brothers and sisters, Virginia Warner, Katherine Marcey and Orville (Sonny) Eutemark. Survived by her children, Richard Burton (Patricia Burton), Pamela DiMaio (Joe DiMaio), Claudia Burton, Timothy Burton, Kimberly Burton (Steven Snyder), and Cynthia Burton; her grandchildren, Sheon DiMaio, Heather Boudreau, Leslie and Johanna Burton, and Noelle Burton; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Malea Boudreau, and Ronan Quish.
Dolores shared her life with her loving husband, Richard C. Burton, for 64 years. Together they raised six children, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and countless four legged "kids."
She worked for the phone company and was a sales person for a variety of department stores including Britts and Argersingers. However, anyone who knew Dolores knew that her most important job was taking care of those she loved including her family and friends. She will surely be missed by the residents of Kingsboro Towers as she was the "caretaker" of many of those who live there. She loved music, reading, playing trivia, crocheting, and cooking. Dolores was passionate about any and all animals and was a continuous supporter of many charities including the ASPCA, Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital and several Catholic Charities. She had a very adventurous spirit and treasured her trips to Wyoming, Las Vegas, Nantucket, and various spots in Connecticut and Massachusetts. She had tremendous strength in her convictions, and was determined to accomplish anything she set her mind to. Dolores had a beautiful spirit. Her Irish eyes were always smiling and her smile was infectious!
