Deborah McAllister, 64, of De Soto, MO, passed away suddenly on March 31, 2014. Born August 9, 1949, in Gloversville, NY, she was the daughter of William and Catherine McAllister, who passed in 1960 and 1980 respectively. Deborah was a GHS graduate, class of 1967. She traveled the country as a young adult, living on the west coast for a period of time where she became interested in sports memorabilia. Her recent hobbies included sewing and quilting. She was also an extraordinary animal enthusiast.
Survivors include her brothers, Charles (Vicki) of De Soto, William and Michael (Hannah) of Gloversville and Jack (Donna) of Fernandina Beach, FL. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews, all of whom adored her. In addition to her parents, Deborah was pre-deceased by her partner, James Evans.
A memorial service will be held at SkyHeart Studio, 33 Bleecker St., in Gloversville on Saturday, April 26, from 4-7 p.m. Donations may be made to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation www.bafound.org.
