JOHNSTOWN - The Fulton County YMCA will have its annual Healthy Kids Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 213 Harrison St.
The day is dedicated to healthy living for children in the community, according to a news release.
The event will feature a bike safety program provided by the Johnstown Police Department and Nathan Littauer's HealthLink, culminating with raffles for three bikes and bike helmets.
Dr. DiSanto-Rose's dental office will provide information for oral health.
The Fulton County Sheriff's Department will conduct a Safe Kid program, providing identifications for children.
There will be information booths and activities from the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Capital District Child Care Council, Berkshire Farms, the Mental Health Association, Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention Partners, Berkshire Farms and Berkshire Fire Department.
Healthy snacks will be provided by Price Chopper, the news release said.
Entertainment will be provided by the band Flame and Music Man. Demonstrations will be given in children's zumba and judo. Free swim will be offered during the event, the news release said.
There also will be arts and crafts, face painting, bounce houses, challenge games and a scholastic book fair, the news release said.
The event is sponsored by the Holiday Inn, Walmart Distribution, Brown's Ford, Steet
Toyota and Gloversville Walmart.
