Maurice F. Rulison, age 88, of Gloversville, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Albany Medical Center.
Born December 26, 1925, in Northville, he was the son of the late Floyd and Ethel Ellsworth Rulison Sr.
Mr. Rulison served his country during WWII in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge.
He was employed as a leather worker with local companies and was last employed at the former Carville National Leather Co., until his retirement.
Maurice was a member of the Johnstown Loyal Order of Moose. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, baseball, football and basketball.
Survivors include his sisters, Betty (Mike) Dalleo, Arlene Skaine, Phyllis (Herman) Mills; three brothers, Robert (Hazel) Rulison, Melvin (Karen) Rulison and Raymond (Audrey) Rulison; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Geraldine Snell Rulison; and brothers, Floyd Rulison Jr., Warren Rulison, and Clark Ellsworth.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 19, at 11:00 a.m. at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N. Melcher Street, Johnstown.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Fern Dale Cemetery, Johnstown.
