Nancy B. Hedden, age 83, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away on April 4, 2014, of congestive heart failure. She was the loving wife of the late D. Jack Hedden. She is survived by her sister, Barbara and William Gullett; her nieces, Robin Waldron, Nancy Mackey; her great-nephew, AJ Mackey; and her beloved cat, Birdie.
Nancy was born in Tarrytown, NY, on December 30, 1930. She graduated from Teaneck High School in 1948. She furthered her education and received a BS at East Stroudsburg University and a master's degree in education from Penn State University in 1962. She retired from East Greenbush Central School as a guidance counselor in 1985 and moved with her husband to Punta Gorda, Florida. Upon his death she moved to Vero Beach to be closer to her sister.
Nancy enjoyed her crossword puzzles, golf and her weekly bridge games. At her request, there will not be any services. The disposition of her ashes will take place at her summer home in Hope, NY. Nancy leaves behind many friends. She would not want us to grieve but to celebrate her life and remember all that was good.
