DELHI - The Fulton-Montgomery Community College softball team lost both ends of its season-opening doubleheader at SUNY Delhi on Sunday.
The Lady Raiders lost the first game 4-3 and the second game 10-0.
In the first game, FMCC took a 3-1 lead into the sixth inning of its first game of the 2014 season, but the Lady Broncos of SUNY Delhi plated three runs in the sixth and gained a 4-3 victory.

Freshman Alyssa Palmateer (Johnstown) pitched an impressive two-hitter and struck out four, but FMCC could only manage three runs from their six hits. Shortstop Stephanie Rice (Duanesburg) had two doubles for the Lady Raiders.
Palmateer also had a double for FMCC.
In the second game, SUNY Delhi (2-2 overall) scored five times in the third inning on its way to a 10-0 victory.
Delhi's Jenny Neuner allowed two hits on her way to the complete-game victory.
FMCC (0-2 overall) is scheduled to host Mohawk Valley Community College in a doubleheader on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
