Several area bowlers were among those selected for the Western Athletic Conference all-star team.
Mayfield's Alex Colby was named to the boys team, while Mayfield's Bryanna Hammond, Virginia Johnson and Carly Poyfair were named to the girls all-star team.
Fort Plain's Beth Mallett also was named a girls all-star.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo's Derek Hempstead was selected as the boys MVP after posting a 198 average this season.
Middleburgh's Hunter Guest, Saratoga Catholic's Charlie Cusano, Duanesburg's Tyler Largeteau and Middleburgh's William Miaski also were named to the all-star team.
Guest had the high series in the WAC this season with a 679, while Miaski had the high game of 280. Middleburgh won the league title with a record of 50 1/2-9 1/2.
Schoharie's Makayla Williams was selected as the WAC girls MVP. Williams finished with a league-high 179 average this season for the Indians.
Poyfair had the WAC's high game this season with a 237 for Mayfield, which won the league title with a 42-2 record. It was the fourth straight Western Athletic Conference crown for the Lady Panthers.
Mallett posted the league's high series with a 622 for Fort Plain.
Also named to the all-star team was Schoharie's Megan Williams.
