Carmela M. Aiesi, 92, a homemaker, of Wrentham, MA, formerly of Everett and the West End, passed peacefully on March 29, 2014, in the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Wrentham. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael A. Aiesi, who passed in 1986.
Born in Boston on November 7, 1921, she was a daughter of the late John and Carmela (Celi) Cucinotta. Carmela was educated in Boston schools. She was a longtime resident of Everett, where she raised her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known to all as "Nana." Her family meant everything to her; she loved them dearly and they were the focus of her life.
Carmela is survived by her children, Michael F. Aiesi and his wife Patricia of Phoenixville, PA, Linda Bertoldi and her husband Guido of Wrentham, Janice Loring of Wilmington, and Frank J. Aiesi of Wilmington; eleven grandchildren, David, Carla, and Lora Bertoldi, Michael, Matthew, and Mark Aiesi, Jason and Ryan Loring, Shannon Arciero, and Melissa and Austin Aiesi; four great-grandchildren; Owen and Weston Bertoldi, Caly Loring, and Jonah Aiesi. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Peter, Leo, John, Anthony, and Salvatore Cucinotta, and Sarah Williams.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the R.J. Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Center. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 130 South Street, Route 1A, Wrentham Center. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
