Phyllis M. Lane

Phyllis M. Lane, 76, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born August 10, 1937, in Richmondville, NY, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Ruthellen Collins Rickard.

Phyllis worked as a bus driver for Lexington, retiring January 16, 2014, with over 38 years of faithful service. Previously she worked for Britt's Department store in the 1960s. Phyllis enjoyed traveling, gardening, bowling, dancing and her casino visits. She frequently contributed to various worthy causes, such as St. Jude's.

Survivors include her loving husband, David M. Lane of Gloversville; two sons, Lowell Eutermarks Jr. (Cheryl) of Amsterdam and Eugene Robert "Scott" Eutermarks (Bonnie) of Gloversville; brother Robert Rickard of Batchellerville; three sisters, Bonnie Olendorf (John) of Johnstown, Katherine Van Alstyne (Russell) of Gloversville and Ann Brown of Idaho; seven grandchildren, Rachel Young (Gary), Monica Kruger, Shawn Kruger, Benjamin Kruger (Danielle), Brandon Eutermarks, Arnie M. Garcia, Scott Eugene Eutermarks (Georgie); five great-grandchildren, Ashley Young, Malacki Cromer and Harper Kruger, Kimber Lynn and Julia Eutermarks; two half sisters, Shelly Morehouse and Charlene Beard of Gloversville; half brother, Tracy Rickard of Gloversville; and her stepmother, Florence Rickard of Gloversville. Phyllis is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by the father of her children, Lowell Eutermarks Sr.; and her sister, Burl Ellen Rickard.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, March 27th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville, where a celebration of life service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Please visit the family online guestbook at www.brbsfuneral.com.
