DOLGEVILLE - Village police have arrested a resident of the village for multiple counts of burglary and grand larceny.
Timothy L. Moore Jr., 26, of 402 Carlson Road, was charged by village police with one count each of second-degree and third-degree burglary, two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, three counts of third-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
According to police, Moore was charged in connection with an investigation into a March 4 robbery at 16 Howard St. Neighbors reported the owner of the residence was on vacation in Florida. Upon checking the residence, police said the windows and door were forced open.
The owner told police 19 long guns, consisting of rifles and shotguns, were stolen, along with several hundred rounds of ammunition. In addition, several thousand dollars worth of gold and silver coins, a 1937 all-star baseball with Babe Ruth's signature, several U.S. and German World War II military pins, distinct jewelry with World War II-era Nazi SS symbols and swastikas, numerous DVDs, two 53-inch televisions and miscellaneous tools also were stolen, according to police.
