Pauline E. Lorence, age 88, of Johnstown passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014, at Wells Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on July 7, 1925, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late John Skoda and Pauline Antolect Skoda.
Pauline was a graduate of Johnstown High School and was employed as a secretary at the Johnstown High School for many years. She was of the Catholic faith, a communicant of the former St. Anthony's Church and Holy Trinity Church. Mrs. Lorence was a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Christian Women.
She was survived by three sons: Richard Lorence, Jr. of Johnstown, John (Nadine Raneri) Lorence of South New Berlin and Stephen (Christine) Lorence of Cobleskill; two daughters: Patricia Lorence of Johnstown and Mary (Richard) Blessing of Ashburn, Virginia; seventeen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 18, at Holy Trinity Church, Glebe Street, Johnstown.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday prior to the service from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the church.
Spring interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Johnstown.
