Ruth Ann Kline, 80, of Johnstown, N.Y., passed away peacefully on March 14, 2014, at her home. Mrs. Kline was born Aug. 10, 1933, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of Leslie C. and Irene Quinlan Fields. She was united in marriage in 1954, to Richard X. Kline, who survives. She was a graduate of Central High School in Syracuse, N.Y. For two years, she was employed at Liberty Mutual Ins. Co. of Syracuse. For 20 years, Mrs. Kline served as treasurer of the family owned automobile dealership, Main Motorcar, formerly Johnstown Dodge. Ruth was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Johnstown and was a faithful member of the choir. She was a member of the Ensemble Singing Club, Burroughs Nature Study Club and was a member and past president of the Royal Mountain Ski Club. Mrs. Kline had many interests including oil painting, bowling, skiing, calligraphy, reading, piano, organ and anything Irish. She always carried herself with grace, loved Christmas and was always willing to try something new.
