David Duesler, 64, of Rockwood, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at home, following a long illness.
He was born on May 15, 1949, the son of Otto and Virginia (Chatterton) Duesler.
Mr. Duesler was a graduate of Oppenheim-Ephratah High School. Dave was a construction worker at Cady Company for many years and a longtime truck driver, recently employed by Eaton Trucking Company. An avid outdoorsman, Dave loved hunting and riding his motorcycle with his sons and spending time with all of his family.
Mr. Duesler is survived by his loving wife Colleen (Keeley) Duesler, whom he married on February 14, 1981; his children: Bryan (Tammy) Horan, Stephen (Melissa) Horan, Kirk (Trisha) Horan, Scott (Paulette) Horan, Carrie (Geoff) Olson and David Matthew (Jamie) Duesler; his special niece, Camille Fonda; his brothers, John (Barbara) Kadaratis, Arthur (Jeanette) Kadaratis and sister, Diane Hill. David had 21 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his parents and his brother, Michael Duesler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24, at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown, with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
