PERTH - The Perth Senior Citizens met Feb. 19, with 26 people in attendance.
Chaplain Walter Sparks opened the meeting with a reading, Timothy 1-9. President Glen Van Woert led in the Pledge of Allegiance.
The reports of the assistant secretary, Maureen Phillips and treasurer, Mary Stachnick were accepted as read.
Phillips, special events coordinator, noted there will be a beauty raffle in March and an Easter raffle in April. A St. Patrick's party will take place March 12. Members are asked to wear green and bring finger food.
The anniversary banquet will be April 23, at the Perthshire, a sit-down dinner. The entertainment will be Music for Life.
Valentines were sent out to shut-ins. Dolores Leggiero, trip chairwoman, gave the report and suggested some trips.
Correspondants and announcements were read and posted.
Under new business: Darlene Fredericks announced she had to take extra dictionaries to third graders at the Broadalbin-Perth Elementary School. Van Woert read changes in the bylaws that were presented to members.
Peter Betz gave the report from the regular Perth Town Board meeting and the assessors report.
The next meeting will include birthday celebrations.
