February 19, 2014
The Leader Herald

Mrs. Angeline Clemente Hoggins, age 98, of Gloversville, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014, at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam.

Angie was born January 9, 1916, in Gloversville, the daughter of the late John and Marianna Copobianco Clemente. A 1935 graduate of Gloversville High School, she worked in several glove shops and was an excellent waitress in the area, notably at the formers O'Conner's Tavern in its hey-day, and at the Eccentric Club, Union Hall Inn and the Elms Restaurant. She was the primary caregiver for her parents, and following their passing she worked for ten years as a social worker for the Fulton County Dept. of Social Services. She was a real estate associate for Mary Chmura. She was also widely recognized in the area for her house and estate sales. Any sales advertisement with "Angie" attracted interest from far and wide.

She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit and the Sisters of the Holy Spirit, the Foresters Lodge, Gloversville and Johnstown Senior Citizens clubs and the former Fulton County Infirmary Auxiliary.
