GLOVERSVILLE - A teen resident was arrested by city police Tuesday after he attempted to strike an officer and was found to have marijuana, police said.

Devon Christopher Paul Vick, 19, of 30 Fifth Ave., was charged with second-degree harassment, unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of an alcoholic beverage with the intent to consume, all of which are violations, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.

Police said officers advised Vick to step away from another person and he refused to do so and then attempted to strike an officer. He also resisted arrest after he was advised to place his hands behind his back and after a brief struggle he was taken into custody, police said.
