'Bakery Boss' episode on hold: executive

February 12, 2014
The Leader Herald

JOHNSTOWN - The TLC network's national TV airing of a "Bakery Boss" show starring Buddy Valastro filmed last October at Grandma Millie's Bakery may not occur until summer, according to a broadcast executive.

Dustin Smith, a spokesman for Discovery Communications, indicated last week that a decision was made to delay the Johnstown show.

"The network has decided to hold back some episodes to air as part of a summer season," Smith wrote in an email to The Leader-Herald.

Valastro made a splash locally for four days in October, filming a makeover of the bakery at the Fulton County Airport and attending the Johnstown Harvest Festival downtown. The show was originally projected to air this month.
