JOHNSTOWN - The new T.J. Maxx department store at the Johnstown Shopping Center will open March 6, center owner Michael Wachs said Friday.
"I think it's a tremendous gift to Fulton County," Wachs stated. "I'm just so excited. They're the preeminent department store and they're coming to Johnstown."
Wachs first announced the store was coming to the center off Route 30A two years ago. The new 23,400-square-foot, single-story, steel-frame store sits next to Romana's restaurant. Based in Framingham, Mass., T.J. Maxx has about 1,000 locations nationwide and sells brand-name family apparel, accessories, shoes, gifts and jewelry at discount prices.
