PERTH - An Amsterdam motorist was charged with possession of crack cocaine after he was pulled over by state troopers Tuesday.
According to troopers, Ernest C. McMikle, 27, of Amsterdam was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and various traffic and vehicle infractions.
According to troopers, McMikle was stopped on Route 30 in Perth for multiple traffic infractions. Troopers said they smelled marijuana inside the vehicle.
McMikle handed them a bag containing a small amount of marijuana, police said. They also found he had 18.5 grams of crack cocaine, police said.
McMikle was processed at the Mayfield station and remanded to the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
