JOHNSTOWN - The Fonda-Johnstown swimmers won eight of 12 events Thursday but were edged out of the victory by a single point by Amsterdam, 85-84.
Tyler Askew and Trevor Askew posted two individual victories apiece for Fonda-Johnstown, while Kristen Santos was a double winner for Amsterdam.
Tyler Askew touched the wall first in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:30.10 and the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:15.23.

Trevor Askew won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:41.83 and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:11.74.
Both were members of the victorious 200 medley relay team with Cameron Roten and Daeshan Buseck and the 400 freestyle relay with Roten and Stephen Dunbar.
Santos garnered individual victories in the 1-meter diving with his score of 309.40 and the 100-yard freestyle in 56.50.
He also swam a leg on the winning 200-yard freestyle relay with Connor Liverio, Mike Valenti and Thomas Knack.
