WAC sets crossover contests

The Western Athletic Conference announced the matchups for this week's boys and girls basketball crossover contests.

The boys crossover games are scheduled to begin Wednesday with Schoharie traveling to Fort Plain, Sharon Springs traveling to Galway and Middleburgh traveling to Northville. The Mayfield boys also will host either Berne-Knox-Westerlo or Duanesburg on Wednesday.

All games are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

On Friday, the WAC Cup semifinals will take place at Fulton-Montgomery Community College.

Saratoga Catholic will face the South Division runner-up at 7 p.m., while Canajoharie will face the South Division champion at 8:30 p.m. The top two spots in the South Division will be determined by tonight's game featuring Berne-Knox-Westerlo against Mekeel Christian.

FMCC also will host crossover games Saturday.

Fort Plain will play the South Division third-place team at 8:30 p.m., while Mayfield will face Schoharie at 5:30 p.m. Middleburgh will meet Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville at 2:30 p.m. and Northville will play Sharon Springs at 11:30 a.m.

On Monday, the WAC Cup semifinal losers will meet at a site to be determined, while Galway will host OESJ in another crossover contest.

The WAC Cup title game is slated to take place Feb. 11 at FMCC at 7:30 p.m.

Girls

The WAC girls basketball crossovers are scheduled to begin today.

Galway is scheduled to travel to Mekeel Christian, Mayfield is slated to travel to Schoharie, Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville will travel to Sharon Springs, and Northville will travel to Duanesburg.

On Friday, the WAC Cup semifinals will take place at Fulton-Montgomery Community College.
