Mr. Kenneth S. Williams, 90, of Mayfield, passed away February 1, 2014, at Nathan Littauer Hospital. Mr. Williams was born September 13, 1923, in the town of Northampton, son of the late Kenneth and Mazie Hall Williams. He spent most of his life as a lumberjack in and around the Northville area. He was also a self-employed house painter and had done minor construction work throughout his life. Ken had also worked at various leather mills in the area. He enjoyed hunting and fishing whenever possible.
Ken proudly served his country in the Army from 1943-1945, having seen action in the European Theatre and servicing transport planes in Greenland.
Survivors include his children, Carol LaPorte and William, Kenneth Williams, Scott Williams and MaryAnn, Beverly Williams and Larry Williams. Ken is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Audrey and Laura. He was predeceased by a son, Keith; his wife, Anna Bulger Williams; a brother, Raymond; and three grandchildren.
In keeping with Ken's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services at this time. Private inurnment of his cremains will take place at the convenience of his family.
