David E. Johnson, age 62, a resident of Northville died Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at the St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. He was born in Gloversville, NY, on February 15, 1951, the son of Earl and Genevieve Powers Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was employed as a leather worker for the former Pan Am Leather Company in Gloversville for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing poker. He especially loved his family.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Johnson of Northville; his mother, Genevieve Sparks of Vails Mills; one son, Jeremy Johnson of Northville; three daughters: Chastity Johnson of Broadalbin, Heather Johnson of Averill Park and Joanne Frye of Fonda; two sisters: Mary Carter of Alabama and Donna Deere of Gloversville; and one grandchild, Kamden Johnson. He was predeceased by his father, Earl Johnson, and his brother, Michael Johnson.
A funeral service will be held at a later date in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Northville Funeral Home. Condolences may be made to the family online atwww.northvillefuneralservice.com.
