Amsterdam defeats Hudson Falls, 97-62

HUDSON FALLS - Amsterdam won 10 of 11 events on its way to a 97-62 win over Hudson Falls in a non-league boys swim meet Friday.

Thomas Knack won the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle for Amsterdam, while Mike Valenti won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke.

Kristian Santos (1-meter diving), Reyers Brusoe (100 butterfly), A.J. Mercado (100 freestyle) and Stephen Perry (100 backstroke) also posted wins for Amsterdam (3-5 overall). The Rams also won the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays.

Shawn Moore posted the lone win for Hudson Falls, winning the 50 freestyle in a time of 26.16 seconds.

Both Hudson Falls and Amsterdam were disqualified in the 200 medley relay.
