JOHNSTOWN - A pair of Gloversville men were arrested Monday following a traffic stop where they were both found to be in possession on cocaine, according to state police.

Christopher Ward, 49, and Christopher Porter, 29, were both charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police said troopers stopped Ward's vehicle on Route 29A in the town for an exhaust violation, and during the stop both were found to be in possession of cocaine.

Porter also was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, police said.

Ward was additionally charged with traffic infractions of inadequate exhaust and unlicensed operation.

Porter was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and a traffic infraction for consumption of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.

Both were released on tickets and are scheduled to appear in court Feb. 19.
