Former treasurer to appear in court

January 30, 2014
The Leader Herald

GLOVERSVILLE - The former treasurer charged in October with stealing $13,000 from the Fulton United Soccer Club had her case adjourned until early March, according to City Court.

Sandra Yost, 45, of 129 West Bush Road, is accused of stealing from the club from January 2007 through December 2011.

Yost will appear in City Court on March 5 at 9 a.m.

Yost was previously arraigned on a charge of third-degree grand larceny, a felony. She could face up to seven years in state prison if convicted, Fulton County District Attorney Louise Sira said.

She is being represented by attorney Robert Abdella of Gloversville and has pleaded not guilty.

Police said she spent the money for personal use and fraudulently issued numerous checks to family members during her tenure as treasurer.
