Ingrid Marie Ritz Hill

Ingrid Marie Ritz Hill went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Hill of Northville; a son, daughter-in-law and grandson, Jeffrey, Diane and Mitchell Giles of Maple Valley, WA; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Darren Crow of Phoenix, AZ; and a brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Martha Ritz of Waretown, NJ; and countless friends.

A resident of Northville since 2002, Ingrid was an avid volunteer with Fulmont Community Action Group, the Northville Library, the Gloversville Soup Kitchen and St. Francis of Assisi Church. With the church, she was a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Rosary Society. She was honored as Fulmont Community Action Volunteer of the Year in 2011 and was president of the Lakeside Beach Association. Her countless other volunteer acts touched many lives and fulfilled her never-ending desire to help others. Prior to retiring to Northville with her husband Tom, Ingrid worked for the Bridgewater Raritan School District for over 28 years. She was also a volunteer with the Somerville and Branchburg Rescue Squads for over 30 years.

A viewing will be held at Northville Funeral Service, 401 Bridge Street, Northville, NY, on Friday, January 31, 2014, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Northville at 10:30 a.m.
