Consider season pass to support the Glove

January 28, 2014
The Leader Herald

I am writing in response to a recent "Cheers and Jeers" in The Leader Herald. The editorial spoke of our growing art district in Gloversville and our beautiful historic downtown.

I would like to encourage all our citizens to find a way to support our Glove Theatre in its 100th year of existence - happy 100th birthday, Glove Theatre.

The Glove can and will be the backbone to an artistic downtown image. The citizens can help make this happen by giving of their time, talent, or treasure to this little "gem" in our city.

The Glove Performing?Arts Center has been a part of our lives for generations, and the best is yet to come. We all must preserve our little "gem" for future generations.

Each one of us could obtain a season pass, which includes seven plays for only $70. That's a savings of $27. For seniors and students, it is only $60; that's an additional $18 in savings. I believe we can all do this and enjoy our "gem."

To celebrate this wonderful event, call the Glove at 773-8255 and purchase a season pass for the 2014 season.

If you have never experienced the talent of our community, you will be pleasantly surprised just how much talent we have right here in our community. I found this out by going to the theater I remember so well.

Gloversville has a wealth of talent, so let's all preserve our stage to the world. Come join me and become a member of the Glove Theatre.

After all, it is your community theater.
