Support for red kettle effort appreciated

January 24, 2014
The Leader Herald

A big thank you to all the people who donated to the red kettle Christmas collection for the Salvation Army the first three weekends in December.

We collected at NBT Bank on Second Avenue and First Niagara Bank on Fifth Avenue. Thank you to both banks for allowing us to ring.

Thanks to the Glove Cities Rotary: (Joe Semione, Steve Serge, Dale Webb, Greg Matthews, Art Dahl, George Doherty, Ned Hirt and Jessica Smrtic); Gloversville Women's Alumni Club (Sue Zambri, Sue Stein, Sue DeLilli, Maria Brown, Joelle Flint, Joni Wilson, Judy Antonucci, Marilyn Cole, Chris Putnam, Mollee Putnam, Deb Smigen, Karen Holly, Lana Ruggiero, Jamie Quinn, Marie Wojeski, Barb Cline, Jane Kelley, Kathy VanAlstine and Roberta Esposito) and the following annual volunteers: Jim Cowne, Karen Smith, Tony Reppenhagen, Bob Schenebel, Larry Teetz, Debbie Finkle, John Piccard, Gene Satterlee and Todd Mercer.

As a past volunteer once said, "We may have been cold on the outside while ringing the bells, but it is a nice warm feeling on the inside when we help those in need."
