Map class set for Saturday

JOHNSTOWN - HealthLink Littauer, the community health and wellness service of Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home, announces a class on "Map & Compass" will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the wellness center, 213 Harrison St. Ext.

"Don't leave home without them," Steve McGrattan, a certified Wildland Search & Rescue volunteer, said in a news release. "Come learn how to read a top map, use it with or without a compass, plot your current position, navigate to new locations, the significance of magnetic north, and much more."

This class is designed for adults and teens. There is a $15 fee per person payable at the door. Maps and compasses will be provided. To attend, call HealthLink Littauer at 736-1120.
