Girls Basketball Roundup: B-P gets past Coxsackie-Athens

COXSACKIE - Zoe Simonson and Brianna Westfall each scored six points, leading Broadalbin-Perth to a 28-26 win over Coxsackie-Athens in a non-league girls basketball game Saturday.

The Lady Patriots led 22-16 after three quarters before holding off a rally by the Indians.

Emily Drake scored 12 points to lead Coxsackie-Athens.

The win was the second straight for Broadalbin-Perth (4-8 overall), which ended an eight-game losing streak Thursday with a 45-24 win over Gloversville.

The Lady Patriots are scheduled to host league-leading Queensbury in a Foothills Council contest on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

FRANKFORT - Danielle Migliore finished with 22 points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists, leading Frankfort-Schuyler to a win over Dolgeville.

The Maroon Knights led 18-6 after one quarter on their way to the win.

Alexis Bianchi and Marissa Miller each had eight points for Frankfort-Schuyler (10-2 overall).

Bianchi also grabbed eight rebounds for the Maroon Knights.

Jackie Fake finished with 17 points to lead Dolgeville (4-9 overall, 0-5 CSC), while Emilie Lewandowski, Courtney Hart and Sarah George each finished with seven points.

Dolgeville is scheduled to host Herkimer in a Center State Conference contest Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
