PLATTSBURGH - The Fulton-Montgomery Community College men's basketball team jumped out to an early lead but could not hold off the Clinton Community College Cougars as they rallied for a, 80-72 victory Thursday night.
The Raiders jumped out to an early 13-6 advantage but Clinton CC chipped away at the lead to take a 38-37 advantage.
FMCC worked its way back from a 14-4 run by the Cougars at the start of the second half to cut the lead to 74-71 with 2:42 left in regulation. Clinton pulled away in the closing minutes to secure the victory.
FMCC will return to action Saturday in the second game of double-header action at the Raiders' Den.
The Lady Raiders will host Hudson Valley Community College at 1 p.m. followed by the men at 3 p.m.
