Dolores Margaret Lamphear

Mrs. Dolores Margaret Lamphear, "Babe" of Broadalbin, NY, passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening, December 26, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 30th, 1941, in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Irving and Margaret Herrick.

She was a member of the Gloversville congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She drew great strength from her favorite scripture Proverbs 3:5-6. Her love for Jehovah and for her family always came first in her life. She enjoyed art, music, and reading, but most of all she loved to spend time with her family. She especially liked going out for ice cream.

She was married to Bennie "Dave" Lamphear on March 5th, 1960, and together shared 53 years of love and devotion until his passing on July 28th, 2013.

Dolores was also predeceased by her sister, Jacqueline Herrick; and her brother, Gary Herrick.

Survivors include her sons, David of Speculator, Wayne of Otego, Irving and his girlfriend, Kimberly Sommer Drake of Saratoga, and Earl of Broadalbin; her daughters, Regina Pepper and her husband, William of Broadalbin, and Tammy Lawson and her husband, Clayton of Otego; her brothers, Larry Herrick of Gloversville, and Harvey Herrick (Sharon) of Mayfield; her sisters, Helen Shafer (Richard) of Gloversville, Dawne Klingbeil (Donald) of Caroga Lake, Rebecca Baker of Moriah and Marsha Douglass (John) of Fonda; her grandchildren, William Pepper Jr. (Crystal), Holly Pepper, and Brett Pepper, all of Broadalbin, Ruth Lawson, Clayton Lawson, Elizabeth Lawson and Sylvia Lawson, all of Otego, and Colin Michael Drake of Saratoga; her great-granddaughter, Lucy Pearl Pepper of Broadalbin; and several nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 19th, at 4 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 126 South Kingsboro Ave., Gloversville, NY. Burial will take place in Speculator NY.
