GLOVERSVILLE - A man was arrested Friday after police said they learned he'd been cashing fraudulent checks in the city.
Jason D. Shattuck, 23, of 97 S. Judson St., was charged with second-degree forgery, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
Capt. John Sira said Shattuck found some business checks that had been dropped on East Fulton Street. He made the checks out to himself, and cashed them at Naif's on North Main Street, Sira said.
He was arraigned in City Court and sent to the Fulton County Jail in lieu of an unspecified amount of bail.
