BROADALBIN - The elementary school shared decision-making team at Broadalbin-Perth Central School is inviting people to share their talents and hobbies with students in kindergarten through fifth grade during the March Mini-Course Enrichment Program.
Throughout March, community volunteers will present mini courses each day after school from 3:05 to 4 p.m. at The Learning Community or intermediate school, a news release said.
Volunteers will design their own courses, decide how many days and what days of the week they want to offer their courses, determine any materials they need, and how many students they can manage in their courses.
The shared decision-making team will take care of additional details and provide funding for mini-course materials, the news release said.
Volunteers should design their courses with elementary students in mind, the news release said. Mini courses can be offered at The Learning Community, intermediate school or both. Some course offerings in the past included cross-stitching, yoga, winter games, arts and crafts activities, dancing, acting and cooking.
