The Leader Herald

Judy Marie McDonald, age 69, went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2014, after a heroic battle with cancer. She was born September 23, 1944, in Weeksville, NC and graduated from Maryland High School, St. Mary's County, MD in 1962. She married Edward Gundersen in 1962 with whom she had two children, Lance Merlees Gundersen and Jennifer Gundersen Gray. She remarried in 1970 to James Gisondi.

She lived most of her life in Gulf Breeze and Pensacola, FL where she helped raise her grandson, Robert Neele Gray Jr. She retired from the Department of Defense in 2008 after a year abroad in Kuwait where she worked in the education center of Camp Arifjan. She was very proud to serve her county and support our soldiers in the Middle East.

She loved English history and researching her family's genealogy. She was generous to everyone, putting their needs above her own.
