FONDA - The sights and sounds of big block modifieds racing around the half-mile clay oval at Fonda Speedway on a Saturday were replaced by high-flying racing sleds of the East Coast Snocross Series.
Making its debut at the "Track of Champions," the ECS drew a large crowd of spectators and a full pit area of professional race teams despite foggy and rainy conditions.
The two-day event is the second on the East Coast Snocross schedule and will continue today.
Spectator gates will open at 10:30 a.m. today, with Pro racing getting under way at 11:45 a.m. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for children ages 8-12, while kids 7 and under will be admitted free with a paying adult. Pit passes will be available for an extra $10.
