GLOVERSVILLE - A city man was arrested Dec. 28 after police said he stole prescription pills and attempted to sell them on Christmas night, police said.

Eric S. Taylor, 20, of 54 Forest St., was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, as well as petit larceny, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and fourth-degree criminal mischief, all misdemeanor.

Police said the larceny charge came from an investigation into the theft of prescription pills from a residence at 54 Forest St.

Police said Taylor stole the pills from a person living with him and attempted to sell them to another person on Christmas night.

Police said Taylor was located sleeping at a residence on Third Street on Dec. 28 and transported to the station where he was interviewed and charged.

During processing, Taylor became combative and intentionally damaged a wall at the station, which led to the criminal mischief charge, police said.

He was arraigned in City Court and sent to the Fulton County Jail.
