James T. Jepsen, 24, of Gloversville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 2, 2014. James was born on January 28th, 1989 to Gregory Sr. and Patricia LaFountain Jepsen of Gloversville.
James will be remembered for his kindness, work ethic, enjoying life, and being quiet within himself. He was a member of the Pine Tree Rifle Club, Johnstown, N.Y., and an avid motorcycle rider.
James graduated from Gloversville High School, and Fulton Montgomery Community College; he also attended Sage College in Albany, N.Y.. James passed the NYS Civil Service Exam to become a police officer. He was employed at Wal-Mart in Gloversville as a manager in the meat department.
James is survived by his parents Gregory and Patricia; his siblings Jerry Thomas Meador (Brenda Lynn), Gregory Allen Jepsen, Jr., (Katie Joyce) and Jessica Renee Jepsen all of Gloversville; and Stacey Lorraine Adams (Michael John) of North Carolina. Also surviving his fiance Jazmin Gage, her parents Robert and Connie Gage and his best friends Ken Cook and Matt Fosmire all of Gloversville; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 417 Steele Avenue Ext., Gloversville, N.Y., followed by a 6 p.m. funeral service at the church. Burial will take place in the spring at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
