Boys Basketball Roundup: Dragons top Spartans

QUEENSBURY - Keyshawn Arnold hit for 18 points and Barceem Dukes had a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds to keep the Dragons undefeated in the Foothills Council with a 4-0 record and improve to 7-1 overall with a 62-45 win over Queensbury on Saturday.

Asa Barnhill added 14 points, while James Scholl had eight points and Hunter Goodwin six for Gloversville.

Queensbury was paced by Keeghan O'Leary's 12-point, 11-rebound performance.

With the victory, Gloversville remained in a tie for the top spot in the Foothills Council with unbeaten Scotia-Glenville.

The Tartans defeated South Glens Falls 103-32 Saturday to set up a showdown Tuesday night with the Dragons at Gloversville High School for the Foothills Council lead.

ST. JOHNSVILLE -Four Hilltoppers scored in double-digits en route to the Western Athletic Conference North Division victory at Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville High School.

Jon Calbet led the quartet with 15 points, while Eric Orologio and Xavier Lanier had 11 points apiece and Kiernan Briggs chipped in with 10.

Dylan Klock led the Wolves (2-3 WAC, 4-5 overall) with 15 points, while Payton Johnson and Joey D'Antinito finished with 12 points each.

DOLGEVILLE - Brandon Lewandowski connected for five 3-pointers en route to a game-high 32 points to end the Blue Devils' 32-game losing streak dating back to Jan 21, 2012.

Sabastian Bullard led Remsen with 17 points.

With the win, Dolgeville improves to 1-9 overall on the season.
