Mr. Edwin C. Anadio, age 69, of Gloversville, died Wednesday evening, January 1, 2014, at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady.
He was born March 28, 1944, in Gloversville, the son of the late Anthony and Barbara Izzo Anadio. He worked with various leather finishing companies in the Fulton County area and also dealt with international trade.
Mr. Anadio was a life-member of Concordia Club. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, family gatherings and socializing with friends and creating memories.
Ed was married on July 28, 1962, to Shirley J. Robbins Anadio, who survives. Also surviving are six children, Michelle Cobb (Rob) of Dolgeville, Edmond Anadio (Sandra) of Gloversville, Debra Lynn Carroll (John) of Saratoga Springs, Peter R. Anadio (Echol) of Mayfield, Nancy Lee Anadio of Gloversville and Arthur Anadio (Natalia) of Brooklyn; a sister and three brothers, Barbara Ciocca (Benjamin) of New Hartford, Anthony E. Anadio (Patricia) of Georgia, Peter R. Anadio (Edna) of Gloversville and Benjamin J. Anadio (Pauline Intelisano) of Saratoga Springs. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Samantha, Christine, Thomas, Reginald and Ari; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Joseph F. Anadio, Carl J. Anadio and Elsie M. Salino.
It was Ed's request that there be no calling hours or services. A Celebration of Ed's Life will be announced in the summertime.
