GLOVERSVILLE - HealthLink Littauer, the community health and wellness service of Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home, recently announced its first series of childbirth preparation classes in 2014 will begin Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. in The Birthing Center At Littauer, 99 E. State St.

"These classes prepare expectant parents mentally and physically for the childbirth experience," Crystal O'Connor, certified childbirth educator of The Birthing Center at Littauer, said in a news release. "Topics include what to expect in late pregnancy, breathing and relaxation techniques, labor and delivery, newborn care, feeding options, adjustment to parenthood and more. We'll also take a tour of Littauer's Birthing Center."

Classes will meet once each week for three weeks, ending Jan. 22. There is a $45 fee per couple that includes all classes (scholarships are available for those in need).

To attend this series, for more information or for a complete schedule of classes, call HealthLink Littauer at 736-1120.
