JOHNSTOWN - State police say they arrested a Northville man twice on marijuana charges in less than 36 hours.
Police stopped Jerome Fonda, 28, at 1:45 a.m. Friday on West Fulton Street in the town of Johnstown after Fonda failed to stay in his lane, police said.
His blood-alcohol level was 0.09 percent, said police, who added they searched Fonda's car and found about 55 grams of marijuana.
They charged Fonda with driving while intoxicated and fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a news release said.
Fonda was arraigned in Johnstown Town Court and sent to the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
Then, at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, troopers again stopped Fonda's vehicle for failing to stay in his lane on Route 30A in Johnstown, police said.
This time, Fonda was found with a marijuana pipe and about 21 grams of marijuana in his vehicle, the news release said.
In that incident, Fonda was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and released, police said.
He is due to appear in Johnstown Town Court on Jan. 15 to answer all charges, police said.
