Frederick W. Spier Jr., age 56, of Perth, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 23, 2013, at his home.
He was born on November 5, 1957, in Syracuse, a son of Frederick W. Spier Sr. and Nancy Spoon Spier of Cicero, both who survive.
In his early years, Mr. Spier was a Boy Scout. Fred received his master's degree from Columbia International University in South Carolina. He was a principal and teacher at Perth Bible Christian Academy and a member of Perth Bible Church for many years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Spier is survived by his wife, Elaine Webber Spier, whom he married on June 2, 1979; two sons, William Spier and his wife Mawi of Macau, China and Justin Spier of Lynchburg, Virginia; one sister, Tina Hover and her husband Jeff of Altamont; one brother, David (Cameron) Spier of Blauvelt, New York; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, at Perth Bible Church, 1863 County Highway 107, Amsterdam.
Cremation was at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.
