Mayfield man admits to DWI

JOHNSTOWN - A Mayfield man pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated on Monday and could receive up to three years in prison along with a fine at his sentencing later in March, according to the Fulton County District Attorney's Office.

John C. Berry, 48, of Bunker Hill Road, Mayfield, pleaded guilty before Fulton County Judge Richard Giardino to the felony.

He was arrested July 25.

In other Fulton County Court action Monday, Richard Maldonado, 39, of 204 Bleecker St., pleaded guilty in front of Giardino to failure to register. He is expected to be sentenced to up to six months in jail in March.

Maldonado was arrested July 29 for failing to register as a sex offender by the Gloversville Police Department.

Berry and Maldonado are scheduled to appear in Fulton County Court for sentencing March 17.
