Cirillo competing at Elms College

BOSTON - Gloversville graduate Nick Cirillo, a member of the Elms College men's swimming and diving team, won the 1,000-yard freestyle at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championships at Simmons College on Dec. 7 and 8.

Cirillo posted a time of 10:45.38. He also finished fifth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.30.

Cirillo also was part of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that placed third with a time of 3:38.19.

On the first day of the competition, Cirillo won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:09.43 and third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:55.75. He also was part of the 400-yard freestyle realy team that placed fourth with a time of 1:40.75.

Elms finished second in the team standings with 221 points. Norwich won the team title with 335 points.
