FFCS indoor teams compete at Union

SCHENECTADY - Dalton Hunter picked up the victory in the 600-meter run to lead the Fonda-Fultonville boys to a fifth place finish at an indoor track meet Sunday at Union College.

Hunter turned in a winning time of 1:35.3 in the meet that was won by Shenendehowa with Saratoga Springs second, Schuylerville third and Christian Brothers Academy fourth.

Dylan DeSorbo placed sixth in the 600 in 1:38.3, while Zach Nizet tied for second in the high jump at 5-03 and Ben Vardai-Davidson placed fourth in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 11-0.

The Braves 800-meter relay team placed fourth in the scoring, while the 1,600-meter sprint medley squad placed third and the distance medley team placed fifth in the scoring.

On the girls side, the Lady Braves placed fourth behind Saratoga Springs, Shenendehowa and Colonie High Schools.

Lindsey Therrien placed fourth in the long jump with her jump of 13-02 and fifth in the triple jump with a 30-03.5.

Rebekah Hentnik was runner-up in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 9-0.

The Lady Braves' 800-meter relay team placed fifth in the scoring with a time of 2:05.5, while the 1,600-meter sprint medley also placed fourth in the scoring with a time of 4:57.0.
