GLOVERSVILLE - Three men were arrested Saturday after they were caught smoking marijuana in a vehicle on North Street with a juvenile, police said.
Alfred G. Lamont, 66, of 7441 Route 10, Canajoharie, and Jeffree D. Muller, 20, of 357 Route 67, Fort Plain, were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Muller also was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Kyle J. Lamont, 18, of 7441 Route 10, Canajoharie, was arrested and charged on an outstanding arrest warrant, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and suspended registration.
Police said Alfred Lamont is the father of Kyle Lamont.
Police said officers encountered a suspicious vehicle parked on North Street and made contact with the occupants and smelled marijuana.
Muller and Alfred Lamont were removed from the vehicle and found to be in possession of marijuana, police said.
Authorities said the driver of the vehicle, Kyle Lamont, was found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest in addition to having a suspended driver's license. The vehicle he was driving also had a suspended registration, police said.
Police said a juvenile female was in the vehicle. An investigation revealed Muller provided the girl with marijuana, police said.
Muller was arraigned in City Court and sent to the Fulton County Jail on $200 bail.
Alfred Lamont was released with an appearance ticket, and Kyle Lamont was issued two traffic tickets and turned over to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
The girl was released to her mother, police said.
