Michael A. Krug, 28, of Hilltop Road, Sprakers, NY, died suddenly on Saturday, December 14, 2013, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
A lifelong area resident, Mike was born on June 2, 1985, the youngest child of Allan and Kathleen Horrocks Krug. He was a 2003 graduate of Canajoharie High School and attended FMCC. Mike was an energetic soul who enjoyed playing sports and being a Cub Scout. He excelled in Little League and in football. In 2001 he was awarded Life Scout of the Year and the John L. Tooker Award.
Michael worked for Walmart Distribution Center, McLean Trucking and Sysco. At the time of his death, he had just accepted a job as a forklift operator for Land Air Inc. in Albany and Save-A-Lot Distribution in Coxsackie. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents; siblings, Amy (Dugan) Vooys of Fultonville, NY and Scott (April) Krug of Broadalbin, NY; three nieces, Kari Ann Vooys, Janessa Terry and Hailey Krug; one nephew, Matthew Vooys; grandparents, Alice Krug and Stanley and Doris Horrocks; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, 115 Reid Street, Fort Plain, New York 13339, with the Rev. Dennis Murphy as celebrant. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Peter's & Paul's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2013, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, New York 13317.
