City expects rink to open Dec. 21

GLOVERSVILLE - Recreation Commission Chairman Jeff Ashe said the ice rink at Littauer Field will open Dec. 21 if weather conditions allow.

The rink will be open from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. daily. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, the lights will be turned on and skating will be allowed until 8 p.m.

He said admission will be free. Skate rentals will be available from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays. The cost will be $2 for adults and $1 for children.

The schedule for daytime skate rentals and concession sales has not yet been determined, he said.
